i love vintage pins. pins with bands, quotes, funny cartoons.. i love them all. i just found the most amazing vintage mickey mouse one to put on my white leather jacket. i love decorating all my jackets & purses with pins and studs. makes it more appealing to me. everything has to be visually appealing to me, especially with fashion. i like things with a lot going on paired with something simple. i love designer pieces matched with a simple vintage piece. you don't have to spend a ton of money to have a great wardrobe. it's all about the hunt. you can find so many great pieces for cheap, especially at the swap meet, and you can take those pieces and alter them. cut them, make them shorter, add pins, studs, lace.. anything. it's part of the fun..

tomorrow i leave to texas. i am joining up with the warped tour for about 6 days. tomorrow is a day off so i'm going to spend it in austin, texas celebrating july 4th. hopefully i have time to do some vintage shopping, i heard they have some killer stores in austin. i better see some fireworks!! the dates ill be at warped tour are..

tonight josh is bringing over sushi for a nice dinner in. katsu ya take out. yummm.. later i am meeting up with lauren, jenna and jax to go to teddys. it is jacksons last night here, so we gotta go big before he goes back to new york city. i leave tomorrow at 9:45, not too bad. i have a lay over in arizona and then get to austin around 4:30. yesterday i met up with my friend margaret for lunch. i hadn't seen her in a few years, so it was nice to catch up. all through elementary school we were best friends. it's nice to see someone familiar like that. she has known me through thick and thin, she knows the real me. we hit it off my first day at campbell hall when she had to walk me to the nurse office. she is such a great girl and i'm so happy to have her in my life again. friends like those will always be around. you realize when you grow up how important people like that are. i remember when i left campbell hall i wanted nothing to do with that school, but keeping certain pieces with me is really important and keeps me grounded.

a little less than 2 months until i am 21. i am still trying to figure out what i want to do. i might get to take this double decker bus around that has a dj and bar on it!! it would be so epic!! haha! preparing for the massive heat i am going to have to deal with on warped. i packed tons of little dress and shorts. of course i packed my leather jacket.. can't leave without it. i'm missing cinderella already. my friend sabrina is taking care of her while i'm gone, its so hard leaving her. wednesday night my mom and i went to the grove to see the movie cheri. i loved it and the actor in it is gorgeous. i suggest you go see it. the fashion is incredible in it and her the house michelle lives in is gorgeous. an antique paradise.

	derikah: 07/03/2009 8:38 PM Indeed :] I never spend a ton of money on clothes, I think it's a waste hah ahh too bad you aren't coming to my warped tour date. wow that's cool that you're still friends with someone you were in elementary school. I'm not friends with any of the people I hung out when I was younger, they always put me down and I never felt like they actually liked me, sure some days we would have a blast but then they'd turn everything against me, I finally made true friends in 8th grade and they are the best I've ever had and I hope we stay friends forever :] Woah that bus thing sounds like it would be awesome! ehh I'm not too into gold or silver :/
