"say nighty night & kiss me, just hold me tight & tell me you'll miss me"

less than 24 hours till my opening.. the nerves are starting to hit.. i just want it to be perfection. waking up at 10a.m. to go set up. meeting all the other artists & designers to get everything together & placed. i never thought i'd get to have my own store.. but here it is.. and tomorrow it's reality.. dreams do happen.. you just have to fight for it. keep working for what you want.. not what others want.. i finally got antibiotics today.. i haven't been feeling well for the past two weeks.. i thought if i waited it out i would start to feel better... guess not.. my brother thomas leroy was born today.. 6 pounds.. i can't believe i have 3 younger brothers now.. i feel blessed.. saturday is the jeff koons art exhibit opening & dinner. can't wait to see all his new pieces.. a very talented man..

this los angeles heat just seems to be getting worse & worse.. i am ready for a cold rainy day.

i'm in need of a good new book to read..

any suggestions? what was the last book you read?

xxoo

Congrats on the Store and Baby brother! I highly reccomend House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielski. Its unlike any book ive ever read in my life. His father was a movei director so the book reads like a movie.

I'm still reading a book called "Please Kill Me The Uncensored Oral History of Punk" by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain.
The title basically says it all. It's sort of like one of the I Love The ___ series on VH1 like people sitting around telling stories about how punk began. But it's Iggy Pop, Nico,Patti Smith, David Johansen, Joey Ramone and other people from that era talking about their lives & experiences back then. I'm really enjoying it. I just get migraines & I just started back at school so it's taking me a while to read it but it's very interesting.
