September 28, 2009i'd stop the world & melt with you.daydreaming, love bites & endless hours. she's lost control again.
does true love exist anymore? love seems so plastic in this sleepless town.. my mind has been wondering. sleepless nights are becoming an everyday routine. i have become the definition of a night owl. i prefer night time.. the moon is out.. i am not being blinded by the sun.. i am thinking about a million things.. it is even hard to just focus right now and type.. i constantly want to be working, creating.. i cant be satisfied just sitting here with the television on. i need to be inspired. i need to meet people who inspire me & who strive for similar things in life. i need people with edge, risk.. people who know how to live.. how to love.. a true friend. a true love. why is that so rare? when you find it, you hold on tight. things slip away so easily.. the nights are anxious, especially at the late hours. i tried to fall asleep around midnight.. but my mind got to thinking.. it took over and now her i am. on my couch, listening to the smiths & updating my blog. this week is going to be non stop.. go go go they say.. keep on track. mind of matter. tomorrow i am in the studio. i love mark, he is a true musical inspiration. tuesday i am doing some fashion event for buzznet with that girl kristin from the hills.. i've never seen the show.. so... yeah... haha.. wednesday i am shooting the music video for annie automatic, thursday is a fashion shoot & i am to take my car in for a check up. and the beat goes on.. and on.. and on..
today molly, rich royal & i decided to take it easy and have a pool side afternoon. greg had people over for drinks, swim time and bbq.. it was the perfect sunday.. last night i somehow ended up dancing at dianas, my neighbors, until about 5 a.m. we had people over and the night was alive. during the day i ran some errands & met up with my mom for a bite at cafe primo.. we made a quick stop into madison where i got some white doc martins.. i love them.. punk 77.. after madison i stopped by dita to pick up some new shades jeff had for me. i got an amazing pair of white reading glasses and some black sunnies.. john & jeff are the best.. they are the partners who own dita.. classic.
love bettie page... such killer style.. if you could change something going on in your life right now what would it be & why? hope everyone had a wonderful weekend xoxo

September 25, 2009duct tape my heart, please.my new obsession of the week? the new black lipstick mac makeup put out. so chic.
the whole new style black collection from mac is amazing.. goth meets chic.. very rock n roll.. i love it.. do you? my pop up store is finally closed.. i had so much fun putting it together, & thanks again to everyone who came out. it was such a great experience. i love fashion, i have ever since i was a little girl. to be able to do a store with all the things i love was a dream come true.. i'm glad i got to share it with everyone.. since i do have a few items left over i decided i will sell them online & ship world wide.. the items will be up next week for sale.
not really sure what's going on with my hair in those photos.. i was sorta a mess so i just thought to through it up in a hat.. haha. next week i am shooting with my friend french for his band Annie Automatics new music video. i'm playing the lead role. the video is going to be shoot very raw & edgy. can't wait to see how it turns out. tomorrow i am meeting with the stylist for a fitting for the video.. have to make sure the look is just right. monday i am back in the studio.. have been doing tons of writing. trying to stay a busy girl. tonight is the teen vogue party.. might stop by for a bit & then hit up roosevelt for teddys. vogue has always been one of my favorite fashion magazines, ever since i was little. molly is finally back from the hospital, i really missed her, so nice to have her back. you don't realize how valuable your life is until you deal with something like what she is going through. you really can't take life from granted.. instead of worrying about everyone else, worry about yourself & what makes you happy. i am so sick of everyone being negative.. they don't know how good they have it.. no one wants to give you a pity party my dear.. its time we grow up. how can you hate someone you have never met? have such awful perceptions of someone you haven't even taken time to know? you can't always judge a book by its cover.. i say get to know someone.. get to really know them before you make remarks on them. it might seem harmless to you, but you should put yourself in their shoes.. think about how they feel and what they might be going through.. we all need to stick together.. stop the hate & start to love.. in the end.. thats all that matters..
one of my favorite vogue covers.. what is your favorite fashion magazine?
kate moss... gotta love her.. a true style icon.. xxoo

September 16, 2009these streets will make you feel brand new, the lights will inspire you."i bet that you look good on the dance floor"
last night i got to see the band arctic monkeys preform at the palladium in hollywood with my friend douglas. it had been awhile since i had been to a show i truly enjoyed. after the show i went to tropicana bar at roosevelt. thom yorke from radio head was dj-ing and it was a killer set. i have always loved radio, so it was pretty epic getting to see thom DJ. this morning i had an audition and then went grocery shopping for the apartment. tonight i am thinking about taking it easy.. dinner & a movie? we'll see.. yesterday i had a meeting at mtv around 4 & then met with my lawyer to go over my new contract. tomorrow is my first session with my new personal trainer. i am excited about it.. working out is never a bad thing.. good for the soul in my opinion.
new loves & lost at sea. sometimes it doesn't even feel like me. where would you want to go on a getaway? so escape from the normal? xxoo

September 14, 2009stopped into a church i passed along the way, well, i got down on my knees, & i pretend to pray.
the store was a hit. it took a lot of time & effort to get it all together, but once we were done it was worth it. spent all of friday setting up & then rushed home to get ready for the party. i wore high waisted black shorts with a white crop top & denim studded vest. the party went from 7 to 11. it was so great meeting everyone who came out for the opening & to see a lot of my good friends. the dj's were killer and had the whole place dancing.. i even got to make my own menu for the event! spicy tuna tar tar, veggie burgers, pink champagne, grilled artichoke.. it was all divine. the store is going to be up for about two week, so if you weren't able to stop in at the opening, feel free to come check it out sometime in the next two weeks.
today i got to meet with my new chiropractor & personal trainers. we went over my new routine & different goals for my work out. i love it there. i have had scoliosis for most of my life, i even had to wear a back brace for a year.. my trainer is going to help me strengthen the muscles around my spine and to make sure i'm alined. it's about time.. haha. tomorrow i have a meeting at mtv at 4 and i am stopping by my store for a bit. finishing the contracts with my new management company.. sent to the lawyer to finalize it all.. golden. anyways.. saturday night was the kenny sharf opening. i loved all his new pieces, especially the ones with the donuts.. very talented.. after the opening molly & i went to the after party dinner at ebaldi in beverly hills. ended our night under the stars up in the canyons, listening to the ultimate playlist while sipping martinis next to a color changing pool.
what did you think of the mtv music awards? i always find award shows a little boring but i thought lady gaga's performance was absolutely fantastic. she is such a brilliant artist & definitely knows how to take it to the next level. the whole kanye west incident was a bit much.. but i feel that people are making a bigger deal out of it than it actually was. i do feel bad for taylor though, i would be pretty bummed if someone interrupted my acceptance speech just to mention one of the other nominees. i loved how through out the show lady gaga had about 4 different wardrobe changes.. if i was her i would do the same.. each outfit was amazing in it's own way.. she took it there to say the least..
if you could open your own store for two weeks, what kind of store would it be? also, what was your favorite performance of the music awards? xxoo

September 10, 2009"say nighty night & kiss me, just hold me tight & tell me you'll miss me"
less than 24 hours till my opening.. the nerves are starting to hit.. i just want it to be perfection. waking up at 10a.m. to go set up. meeting all the other artists & designers to get everything together & placed. i never thought i'd get to have my own store.. but here it is.. and tomorrow it's reality.. dreams do happen.. you just have to fight for it. keep working for what you want.. not what others want.. i finally got antibiotics today.. i haven't been feeling well for the past two weeks.. i thought if i waited it out i would start to feel better... guess not.. my brother thomas leroy was born today.. 6 pounds.. i can't believe i have 3 younger brothers now.. i feel blessed.. saturday is the jeff koons art exhibit opening & dinner. can't wait to see all his new pieces.. a very talented man..
this los angeles heat just seems to be getting worse & worse.. i am ready for a cold rainy day.
i'm in need of a good new book to read.. any suggestions? what was the last book you read? xxoo

September 7, 2009daydreaming lights & carnival glitz."trying to find reality in the wonderland town"
i am back in action. i know i have been m.i.a for the past week, but i am back now. full of updates & more. ahh.. it feels good to have a minute to just sit down and take sometime for myself. i have been go go go.. this friday is the opening of my pop up store at royal t. i have been running around non stop getting everything together and prepared for the show. i want everything to be perfect. we have so many amazing pieces for sale.. clothes, accessories, art.. EVERYTHING.. the perfect shop.. all the things i love combined into one store.. i also created a menu for the week with all my favorite meals and treats.. it's going to be killer! if you live in or near los angeles definitely try and make it out. the address is 8910 washington blvd. culver city, ca 90232.
i have been talking to a new management company & i am very excited about it! they seem to be on the same page as me.. same goals & ideas.. i need to be surrounded by people who are as driven as me.. if not, it just slows me down.. i don't have time for that. this week i am meeting with producers. getting a grasp on everything. this weekend has been perfect. the perfect long weekend. saturday night molly & i went to the roxy to support our friends in the it boys at their first show.. i must say, they did an amazing job and i couldn't be more proud.. if you haven't heard their tunes yet be sure to go and check out their myspace. my sunday was spent lounging by the pool at roosevelt. they had a make your own taco stand, frankie spinning and amazing frozen drinks. today molly, diana and i took a drive up to malibu for the chili cook off fair. i always love fairs, all the junk food and rides.. haha! after the fair we stopped by my friend greg's party to wish him a happy birthday.. now i am in bed.. hopefully gonna fall asleep soon.. but knowing me i will be up for another few hours.. ugh..
some trends.. do we love or hate? 1. over accessorizing with bracelets
2. lots of lace.. lace tops..
3. fur or faux fur jackets
4. ripped stockings.. i know.. this has been around forever.. i was doing this in 5th grade when i had to wear a uniform.. haha
5. wedge booties

August 29, 2009take me out tonight, where there is music & there is people, & they're young & alive.rip adam. you will be missed. my prayers are with you.
losing a friend is never easy, especially when it is someone who is as kind hearted & driven as adam was. you like to believe that everyone is immortal & will live forever.. once you actually lose someone it's like a snap right back into reality. you really must appreciate the life you have, because you never know what it could be taken away from you. life is short, live each day to the fullest. don't waste your time with drama & negativity. don't waste your time dwelling on the small things, look at the bigger picture. i'm so over people judging others by the way they were brought up, & thinking they deserve less or more because of it. you don't chose the path you're born into, so why judge people upon it? no one is exactly the same, if they were life would be boring. it doesn't matter if you are a millionaire or living pay check to pay check.. we are all the same.. people in the world with goals & dreams.. living our lives.. in one way or another..
tonight molly & i are going to the katy perry show at the paladium. can't wait to meet all the winners & have a good time. next week i am meeting with a record label about possibly working on a music project.. it is still in the early stages so we will see what happens.. still working on the pilot with polsky & j.w. pop up store opens in two weeks. tons going on, so little time. i just want to do what makes me happy.. and keeping busy is what does it for me. i'd rather try everything than just do one thing.. i want to see what makes me the happiest.. what is best for me..
what is one thing you strive to do in your life? xxoo

August 26, 2009birthday blackout."you say it's your birthday, it's my birthday too"
the past few days have been a non stop party. an on going 21st birthday celebration. i am exhausted & run down. i am taking today to detox & gather myself back together. my legs are covered with bruises & scrapes... and apparently, no furniture is a boundary for me since i walk all over couches and tables when we are out. monday i spent my birthday having a yummy dinner at stk with friends and family. cupcakes from sprinkles and pink champagne. somehow at night lauren and i ended up getting a ride in an ambulance to the club and i wore a pink tiara. last night i had my big party at the roosevelt hotel. it was so much fun getting to spend time with my friends and family. of course, no night of mine is complete without some drama.. glasses breaking.. getting blamed for things that didnt even happen, late night calls from the cops, etc etc. sometimes los angeles is full of too much drama & chaos. you can't come to a conclusion when you know nothing.. i'm sick of everyone assuming in this damn city! either way.. the party was fun.. i am thankful to have such amazing friends who have my back and will go out of their way.. as i do for them.. that's what a real friend is.. once you find that, hold on to it.. it's hard to find loyal people in this town. it's a rare find, but its worth it.
right now i am laying with lauren watching sixteen candles. i am waiting for brett to come over to discuss the promotion for my pop up store. he is the head of promotion for royal t.. such a sweet guy as well. it looks like cinderella has a mohawk right now.. i'm delirious still.. need more rest & water.. annyyyyywwwwwwaaaayyyysssssss...
what is your favorite song by the beatles? xxoo

August 18, 2009once upon a time.. or maybe twice. bittersweet.i've become addicted to online rummikub. rummikub has always been one of my favorite games, but now that i found out i can play online i'm obsessed.. such a nerd.. anyways.. molly & i just got home from filming at buzznet. we interviewed the band This Century and asked them a lot of the questions you gave me in my last blog. all the boys were sweet hearts & we had a lot of fun. later today we are going to the house of jazmin premier party at live on sunset and maybe a supra shoes event as well. i really love their kicks.. especially the ones covered in studs. rock n roll.
yesterday molly & i did a photo shoot with sophia alvarado. are inspiration was the comic book characters betty & veronica since molly is blonde & i am brunette. so far the pictures look great. at night we went to teddys to see lmfao perform. the room was crowded and felt like a sauna.. not the best.. saturday night was our adventure night. to being lost up laurel canyon trying to find an after party to pool dancing at the neighbors.. nothing seemed to big to be shocking. it was wild. our floors were covered in confetti and music was blaring down the halls. martinis were served and the stripper showed up at 1. oreo cake and late night conversations under the hollywood hills stars. sleepless nights have become a daily routine, and the concept of being a vampire is looking more realistic than usual.
less than a week until i am 21. there is no use dwelling on the small stuff. for this new year of life i am going to start fresh, letting go of my nostalgia and everything in the past. i am moving forward. i want to be happy and live my life the way i want to. surround myself with positive people and good energy. i am not going to put my self through pain to make someone else satisfied with their life. my life is too precious for that. everyone's life is to precious for that. be happy and don't let other people try to take that from you. you get one life, try & make the best of it. we deserve it... here is one of the photos from the alida vintage shoot.. more photos on the way..
if you only had one hour left to live what would you do? who would you spend it with? xxoo

August 14, 2009those pretty faces always made you stand out in the crowd."where there is love, i'll be there"
lately, i have been getting into a lot of music from the fifties. i love the whole doo wop movement & elvis. it's the best, i can't get enough.. bands like the flamingos, the cleftones, the marcels.. so good.. that's all i have been listening to. this morning i started my day with a much needed mani & pedi. later today i am meeting up with lauren & molly for dinner and teddys at the roosevelt. i can't seem to fall asleep before 4a.m., it's becoming a problem.. last night i went to the japanology event at royal t. we had an amazing dinner of crispy rice spicy tuna & veggie tofu rice bowls. they had a photo booth room where there was a pink furry bed and girls dressed up in s&m outfits. they did a slide show presentations about japan and all the sex related things they have going on.. sex rooms, dolls, etc etc.. they even showed a japanese porn! it was pretty entertaining to say the least & pretty hilarious being there with my mom, all of her friends, jenna and dillon.
wednesday was full of work meetings. i would love to get into all the work, but i feel like it's boring. i don't want to share anything until it's on the way and happening. i hate jinxing it. i'm weird i suppose. monday i am shooting with digital sophie.. very raw sixties type shoot. wednesday night at bardot there was a MJ impersonator and they played MJ songs all night.. it was pretty epic & a lot of fun. i am missing new york. there is something about that city that draws me to it... a certain energy.. something that los angeles doesn't have.. a certain type of reality. only a week and a half until my birthday! 21!!!! yikes. i still can't believe it. for my birthday i am doing a big dinner with my friends and family, and on the 25th i am doing a huge party at the roosevelt! it's going to be nuts.
what is one thing you wish you could change in your life? xxoo

August 12, 2009sitting in my hotel, hiding from the dramas of this great big world, seven stories high, looking at the world go by."am i hard enough, am i rough enough, am i rich enough, i'm not too blind to see"
a sunny day. it's a sunny day in los angeles. i've never been a huge fan of the sun, i prefer when it's overcast. i like wearing layers and lighting my fireplace. everything seems more content when it's overcast outside.. maybe thats just me.. this morning i woke up and found cinderella snuggled into my purse.. it was the cutest thing i have ever seen.
yesterday kit, claire, christy & i had a pool day at the roosevelt. laying in florescent inner tubes, lunch on pool chairs and day time pool naps. so relaxing. i needed a day where i had nothing to do but relax and hang with friends. it was perfect. at night we all got dinner down stairs at the roosevelt at a cute 24 hour diner they have. sweet potato fries are way too good.. it's dangerous. after dinner we went to the tropicana bar to have a few drinks and listen to some good music. i ended up running into the girl who stole my purse from me.. remember that have drama? well.. lets just say it didnt go over too well when she came up to me and tried to hug me like nothing had ever happened.. i usually don't freak out, but in situations like this, when someone invades my personal space and takes my belongings, it's a different story.. tomorrow i am going to some crazy party at royal t. the whole night is based around japanese sex life and some guy is speaking about it and showing a film? sounds hilarious.. don't want to miss out on that one.
are you allergic to anything? i'm allergic to cats & grass.. random.. i know.. xxoo

August 10, 2009never mind the bullocks."a dream you dream alone is only a dream. a dream you dream together is reality"
it's midnight. i am watching lolita and writing back to some emails i have been putting off. today i did a photo shoot with dirk mai for alida buffalo vintage fashion. we shot all over los angeles in tons of different vintage pieces. my favorite location was this small hole in the wall restaurant called oki dog, which apparently is famous for their world famous "oki dog". the "oki dog" is a burrito with a hot dog in it? very complex situation.. haha! the walls were bright orange and one of the people eating their kept offering us a french fry.. for dinner we all went to katsu ya for some yummy sushi & cocktails. tomorrow kit, claire & i are having a relaxing pool day at the roosevelt. it's going to feel nice to lay out & have nothing to do for a day. this whole weekend i have been busy planning the pop up store and confirming which other designers & artists are going to be apart of it. the launch party of the store is going to be september 11th. the opening was going to be the 4th but i didn't want to do it on labor day weekend when most people are on vacation. only one more week till marlon is home, can't wait for him to be back. i really miss not having him around.
that was the leopard coat i found at the swap! so in love with it. do you ever have one of those days where you feel like throwing your cell phone out the window & escaping? today was that kind of day. i wonder if people were less anxious with out cell phones & internet. i wonder if their life was more peaceful. normal. xxoo

August 9, 2009turning back, she just laughs, the boulevard is not that bad."looking on, she sings the songs, the words she knows, the tune she hums"
for some reason, i have had the song tiny dancer by sir elton john on repeat today.. i can't get enough. this morning my mom and i went to the rose bowl swap meet to shop for the pop up store. the rose bowl swap only happens the first sunday of every month. we found amazing vinyl records to decorate the walls with, tons of great rocker tee's, dresses, headbands, sunglasses.. all amazing stuff that i would totally rock!! sad i can't keep it all!! ahaha.. i did get myself a cute vintage leopard coat which i am very much in love with. last night we danced on tables at bardot and really made a splash for frankies birthday.. bottles were bought, glasses were kicked.. it was a wild night to say the least. the night ended with 4 of us in a cab, riding around hollywood, late night snacks and good night kisses. tonight we are going to this small sports bar on the west side for phoot booth pictures and one dollar bingo. tomorrow i am shooting for kits vintage clothing line.. alida buffalo.. dirk is going to be shooting it.. it will be a lot of fun.. i like working when i get to be surrounded by positive people and people i care about.. makes the job a lot more fun.
what is your biggest pet peeve? i hate when people whistle. hah! xoxo

August 7, 2009i've got nasty habits, i take tea at three."lose your dreams & you might lose your mind"
good afternoon. waking up with battle wounds on my legs assures me the night went well. bruised and scraped. i'm a mess, but that's who i am. i am one of the clumsiest people, and trip or fall at least once a day. i'm clumsy because my mind is constantly somewhere else. i am constantly thinking of a million things.. i need to learn how to focus on just one. someone asked me why i haven't been doing more photo shoots lately and if something was wrong.. well.. i have been shooting, i have just been working on a lot of other things that i don't have time to do fun shoots with friends like i used to. i still try to when i have time, but i am mostly only doing paid & print work. just have to focus on what is important and what is going to get me to where i want to be. i am really excited to start filming.. its going to be pure chaos.. last night my friends and i went to night swim at the roosevelt. at 1a.m. these girls do a swim performance in the pool. it was pretty entertaining & their outfits looked like they were from the sixties. scott wasn't able to come over yesterday, so today at 5 we are doing the make up reviews. until then i am watching a clockwork orange and organizing my life.. something i need to do more often.
what is your favorite era for fashion? i love the sixties & seventies. the punk movement was killer. xxoo

August 6, 2009drinking champagne & dancing all night, under electric candlelight."you know her life was saved by rock n roll"
what a busy week this has been. i'm going to start here & work my way back. today was dedicated to errands & getting all my shit done. car wash, refilling my prescriptions, grocery shopping, getting cinderella groomed.. all the kinda stuff i usually wait till the last minute to do.. haha. at 5, scott nathan is coming over. he is known as a photographer, but is starting to break into directing. today, he is bring over tons of different make up from different brands he has worked with for me to do reviews for and perhaps shoot for. we are also going to be shooting a few page spread for front magazine sometime in the next few weeks. tuesday night kit, claire and i finally got to hang out! they are my friends from australia. kit always sends me the most amazing vintage pieces from her collection, so it was fun to finally get to hang out & have some fun. we went to the roosevelt & got a table at the tropicana bar by the pool. bottle service & lost times. i ran into a few girls i have known since third grade but lost touch with when i switched schools in 10th. it was so much fun to catch up, tons of laughs. after the roosevelt, i went to mollys. i felt like i stepped into wonderland. classical music playing through out the house, a water fall in the backyard with koi fish, heating floors outside, tons of beautiful artwork, a disco room, etc etc. such a fantastic house. you can get lost in it. saturday i am meeting at royal t to go over more plans for my pop up store and tomorrow i am shooting with my friend david.

August 3, 2009excuse me, mr.jones.why do people feel the need to worry about other peoples lives and what they are doing? are they not satisfied with their own? i just don't understand why people get so concerned.. it's not their life & no one asked for their opinion on it. when people can't be satisfied with their own life and with who they are they must take it out on everyone around them. they are fine but everyone around them is fucking up. it's everyone's fault except their own.. it's a form of insecurity. it's sad that people need to be negative about everyone around them, when secretly the only person they truely aren't happy with is themselves. it's just something to think about. if someone is judging you or making certain staements about you just remember what i said.. you are fine.. it's them you have to worry about. if you are content with yourself then you wouldn't bother talking about other people and trying to make them look bad.. you know? it's common in los angeles, i've dealt with it my whole life.. sad.. but true.. today i had a meeting with the owner of royal t. we are going to be doing a pop up store in the royal t building.. i will have my store up for a week featuring a few different designers & a bunch of vintage pieces that i will be selling. i can't wait.i am also going to be hosting a party there during the hello kitty take over they are doing. we are going to be doing a pajama party, have yummy asian food & watch some of my favorite movies.. it's going to be great!!
tomorrow i am meeting with my dad for dinner at dantanas. i feel like i haven't seen him in forever, it will be nice to catch up. i just ordered a few new items off amazing.. edie:factory girl, eyes wide shut, mannequin, drug store cowboy & cock sucker blues. cock sucker blues is an amazing rolling stones doc, very raw & edge. it's them behind the scenes like you have never seen them before. black&white. i need to hang up curtains in my room.. i hate the shutters i have now.. reminds me of a hospital room.. i can't wait until my birthday.. so many of my friends are going to be in town.. it's going to be great. party bus, vodka redbull, classic rock.. i am wearing the most gorgeous black sequin vintage dress.. i dont know how i found it, but i am in love.. loveeeeeeeee..
what is your favorite animation movie? for me, it's a tie between alice in wonderland & yellow submarine. xoxo
